MURAT KANTARCI
He was born in 1944 as the youngest of five brothers in a modest family in Kayseri. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kayseri. He realized his first venture in a small workshop in Kayseri in 1966. In his business life, which he started with a few employees, he became a businessman who produced steel office furniture between 1967 and 1975 and employed more than a hundred people.
Between the years 1975 and 1980, he started the production of steel shelves and in a short period, his company became one of the largest steel shelf manufacturers in the country. The R&D studies that he started in 1979 to develop an electric motor was finished in 1980 and he produced the electric motor which was named after him. In the same period, he started the production of mini washing machines and churning machines and entered the household appliances sector. In a short time, he enriched his product range with products such as stoves, ovens, radiant stoves and electric stoves and operated in the sector until 2002.
He started R&D studies in 2002 to develop electrical hospital beds, Murat KANTARCI founded his new company that produced 500 hospital beds in 2005. As of 2014, he has become an industrialist producing 18,000 electrical hospital beds annually and exporting to 60 countries.
In August 2015, Murat Kantarcı transferred the hospital bed manufacturing business to one of the biggest medical companies in the USA. In the same period, he founded MUKA ELEKTRONIK to produce electronics parts used in the hospital beds. MUKA ELEKTRONIK continues to grow and aims to be among the top five companies in the sector.
Murat Kantarcı is a member of many social organizations as well as business organizations. He financed a science and art school to contribute to the education of young people. He continues to support many studies in the fields of education, health, sports and culture through the MURAT KANTARCI FOUNDATION.
